Bury & Norwich Post 17 Feb 1790: Advertisement for Rev T Heckford's school

TRUMPINGTON, near CAMBRIDGE.

January 22, 1790.

THE Rev. T. HECKFORD, A. M. has taken a large and commodious house at TRUMPINGTON, which will be opened at Lady-day next, as a School, for the reception and instruction of Young Gentlemen in the various branches of education; in the rudiments of the Greek and Latin Tongues; Mathematics, Writing, Arithmetic, &c. – Terms, Sixteen Guineas per Annum, and One Guinea Entrance. – Dancing, Drawing, and the French Language, by proper Masters, upon the usual terms.

Trumpington is upon the great road to London, at two miles distance from Cambridge, through which Coaches and Post pass every day; its situation is very dry and healthy, and the house and grounds remarkably well adapted for the above purpose.
