Cambridge Chronicle 6 Oct 1815: Beales farm used for ploughing match
CAMBRIDGESHIREAGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
AT a Meeting of the General Committee held this day,
THE EARL OF HARDWICKE, K.G. President,
IN THE CHAIR:
It was resolved, That a General Meeting of the Agricultural Society of the County of Cambridge, should be held on SATURDAY the 14th of October next, for the Shew of Stock (except Sheep) for the respective Premiums, and also for the adjudging and distributing the other Premiums for Labourers in husbandry, Shepherds, &c. &c.
The Stock to be on the ground (Parker’s Piece) at nine o’clock; and the Ploughing Match to commence precisely at ten.
A Dinner will be provided at the Rose Tavern, in Cambridge, at four o’clock. — Tickets, 10s. 6d. each, to be had at the Bar.

PLOUGHING.
N.B. — The quantity of Land required to be ploughed will be one rood only, upon a Clover Field between Cambridge and Trumpington, in the occupation of Mr. S. P. Beales.
Printed forms of certificates may be had on applications at the office of the Secretary, which much be returned to him one week before the meeting. — No certificate can be received after than time.
