Cambridge Chronicle 21 Mar 1828: Ann Darnell burnt to death

On Saturday morning last, about seven o’clock, a young girl named Ann Darnell, of Trumpington, in the absence of her mother, was attempting to take the kettle off the fire, when her clothes caught the flames, and the poor girl was burnt in such a dreadful manner, that, after lingering about six hours, in great agony, she expired.
