Cambridge Independent Press 16 Sep 1848: fruit stolen from Ebenezer Foster
Robberies. — On Saturday morning, a ewe sheep was stolen from the fold of Mr. Teverson, of Great Wilbraham, in this county. We believe a man is in custody on suspicion of the robbery. — On the same night, the out-house of Mr. Freeman, who resides near the Fort St. George, Chesterton Road, was broken open, and a quantity of poultry stolen. — On the same night , the garden of Mr. Ebenezer Foster, of Trumpington, near this town, was broken open and entered, and upwards of 40 dozen of peaches, nectarines, &c., were stolen therefrom, and although every inquiry has been made, no clue has been found towards the apprehension of the thieves.
