Cambridge Chronicle 31 Jul 1858: Maris rams sold

Stock Fair. – There was a stock fair on Butt-green, on Saturday, but the show both of horses and cattle was neither large nor of extraordinary quality. Some long-woolled shearling rams, the property of Mr. J. Maris, of Trumpington, sold by auction by Mr. J. Carter Jonas, averaged five guineas a-head.
