Cambridge Independent Press 24 May 1873: Sydney Haslop deserter

TRUMPINGTON. — Sydney Haslop, of this village, was charged by p.c. Purkis with being a deserter from the 50th Regiment of Infantry on the 14th of April. — He was detained in order to be handed over to the War Office authorities.
