Cambridge Independent Press 15 Jul 1876: Theft from Eliza Twinn

TRUMPINGTON. — George Thompson, a tramp from Portsmouth, was brought up on remand charged with stealing a purse, containing 6s. 10d. from the person of Eliza Twinn, at Trumpington feast, on the 20th of June. — The prisoner was remanded last week to enable Superintendent Stretton to made inquiries of the prisoner’s character. Nothing, however, was made out against him, and he was sent to gaol for two months.
