Cambridge Independent Press 13 May 1882: John Ward tossed by heifer

On Thursday, John Ward, in the employ of Mr. R. Sayle, of Trumpington, met with an accident, which fortunately turned out not to be serious. It appeared that the unfortunate man was driving a number of heifers in a field close to the Mill when a heifer he had passed ran after him, and, catching him by the legs, tossed him into a ditch. He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where it was discovered that he had sustained no injuries beyond a few bruises and a slight shaking. He is progressing favourably.
