Bury Free Press 9 Aug 1884: Oakey purchase of lambs
Mr. Wilkerson, of Orwell, took advantage of the offer of 20 store lambs, Mr. Yarrow’s property, at 34s. each. Mr. Oakey, of Trumpington, bought 30 lambs, Mr. Symonds’s property, at 39s. and 41s, each. Mr. Hurrell, of Newton, entered about 200 lambs, only half of that number being disposed of to Messrs. Wallis and Gee, at 37s. up to 39s. each.
