Stamford Mercury 3 Sep 1886: Oakey sheep sold

Mr. Scott offered 112 short wools, which sold at prices ranging from £6 to £9, the Duke of Manchester’s agents being among the buyers. – Mr. Oakey, of Trumpington, Cambs, sold 81 short wools, the average obtained being £7. Amongst the buyers were:- Mr. Macturk (8), Mr. Holmes (8), Mr. Johnson (2), Mr. Hanger (2), Mr. Whileman (2), Mr. Jarry, and Mr. Findlay, all at £8 each.
