CHARGE OF DESTROYING A LETTER. — At the Cambridge Police-court, on Monday, Charles William Hollings, a postman, was charged with destroying a letter, the property of the Postmaster-General, on June 30th. — Herbert Hughes, of Saffron Walden, in the employment of Messrs. Lawrence and Nockolds, said that on the 29th June he wrote a letter to Mrs. Knowles, and addressed it to “The Woodlands, Trumpington, Cambridge, “ and it was this that the prisoner was charged with stealing. — The prisoner was remanded until to-day.
