They disposed of 61 beasts, which were in every way equal to the general quality at these sales. The judges of the stock were Mr. W. Jonas, Duxford, and Mr. J. Mills, St. Andrew’s Street, Cambridge. The first prize for the best beast in the yard, given by Messrs. Foster, bankers, Cambridge, was awarded to Mr. George Duke, of Trumpington, for a handsome stall-fed ox, which was bought by Mr. L.E. Clark, of Royston, for £38 10s. Mr. Sear took second prize for a massive shorthorn heifer, which went to Mr. C. Wells, of Fitzroy St., Cambridge, for £35 10s. …….
