TRUMPINGTON.
Messrs. Wright & Scruby offered for sale at the “Lion” Hotel, Cambridge, on Saturday, a choice little freehold paddock, suitable for building, surrounded by a belt of trees, situated at the junction of the Cambridge, Shelford, and Royston-roads, containing about 1 acre 2 roods 38 poles, with a frontage of about 140 feet to the main roads. It was first offered in one lot as a site for a country residence, for which it was well adapted, and withdrawn at £860. It was then offered in 24 building plots, and 15 plots were sold at a total price of £593 10s., and we understand that the Auctioneers had numerous enquiries for the remaining lots after the auction. The building plots, except corner plots, had a depth of from 134 to 184 feet, and realised about 45s. per foot frontage. Mr. J. E. Foster was the solicitor for the vendor.
