TRUMPINGTON.NEXT MOTORIST FINED – Before Colonel Hurrell and other magistrates, at Cambridge, Divisional Petty Sessions, on Saturday, Herbert John Newton Clare, “The Ferns,” Beckenham, Kent, was summoned for driving a motor car at a speed exceeding 20 miles an hour at Trumpington, on June 20th – P.c. Martin stated that on Sunday the defendant’s car covered a measured distance of 440 yards at Trumpington in 29 seconds which was at the rate of just over 31 miles per hour. – Supt. Webb stated that defendant had previously been fined for committing a similar offence – A fine of £3 and costs was imposed.
