Cambridge Independent Press 20 Jun 1913: Hubert Duke & Tom Porter injured by cat
A cat caused a remarkable motor accident at Shelford on Friday evening. Mr. Hubert Duke, of Trumpington, was riding a motor cycle, and was accompanied, in a side car attached, by a friend, Mr. Tom Porter, also of Trumpington. As they were passing through Shelford a cat dashed out of the side of the road, and ran right into one of the wheels. The motor was upset, and the two men were thrown off. Both were cut and bruised, but neither received any serious injury. The car was slightly damaged. The cat did not appear to be hurt, but dashed away from the car. The two men were taken into Mr. Malyon’s house, and there attended to.
