Not Under Control.

Henry White, labourer, of Trumpington, was summoned for allowing a dog to stray at Trumpington on December 13th. — Defendant pleaded not guilty.

P.C. Howe said he saw defendant on the night in question on the Grantchester-road, and shortly afterwards saw a whippet, which belonged to defendant. Witness overtook him, and he then picked up the dog and put it on a lead.

Defendant said that he had the dog on a lead almost all the way from Granchester.

Witness said he followed defendant, and the dog was off the lead the greater part of the way.
