Major Stanley raised the question of motor cyclists. A good many ladies and gentlemen didn't realise they ought to have a proper silencer. He did not think that 10 per cent of the people had one. There was one “fiend" who went through Trumpington about 11 o’clock at night and made enough noise to rouse the dead. Dr Ellis agreed and said that in his village the speed was something terrific.
