PRINCE PRESENTS THE CUPS.

Champion Shires At Islington.

WEST COUNTRY AWARDS.

The visit of the Prince of Wales to the Shire Horse Show yesterday, drew large crowds to the Royal Agricultural Hall, Islington. The King and Queen usually visit the show, but because of the King’s illness the Prince arranged to attend.

Strings of animals from one year to 14 years were seen in the ring. The veteran “Erfyl Lady Grey,” aged 14, exhibited by Mr. G. R. C. Foster, of Trumpington, Cambridgeshire drew her usual round of applause when she came into the ring. She has won dozens of prizes, and for three years in succession the grey mare was champion mare at the Show, winning the challenge cup outright.
