Cambridge Daily News 12 Apr 1934: Lending Library in school
One of the first results of Cambridge borough expansion has been the taking over of the lending libraries in Trumpington and Cherry Hinton and these new branches were opened by the Mayor. He was sure the new libraries would be well looked after. Both are established in the parish schools and contain 400 modern novels and 100 popular non-fiction works. Approximately 100 volumes will be exchanged monthly with books from the Central Library.
