Miss C.E. Willers has been ringing Trumpington church bells for nearly 40 years; now she is paying for two new bells as a memorial to her family who have been in the village for generations. She cycled to Loughborough from her home in the High Street – and did the 85-mile journey in one day – to see them being cast. “Trumpington church is so old and beautiful it’s a privilege to do anything for it”, she said.
