Notes for: Henry Bailey Tams

A strange character has died under mysterious circumstances at Trumpington, near Cambridge. A well-dressed man arrived in the village after the Newmarket Race Meeting and put up at a local inn, representing himself to be the Marquis of Queensberry. He behaved strangely, and on Monday he was found dead in his bedroom, having died from the effects of opium. At yesterday's inquest, when an open verict was returned, it was announced that the man's real name was Henry Toms [ actually Tams - Ed.], a native of Cambridge.
