No baptism found in Trumpington. Several family trees online (ancestry.co.uk) have him as the son of Harris Marshall and Sarah Harding (married Little Shelford 1751), born Little Shelford 1765.

In 1820 Harris Marshall became the tenant of the property formerly rented from the Pemberton estate by Lydia Parish
