Notes for: Elizabeth Barnes

In 1764 she inherited cottages and land in High Street opposite the entrance to Church Lane (no. 32 on Inclosure Award map) from her parents. Also in the Inclosure Award granted a new allotment on the south side of Long Road, where nos 98 to 102 Long Road now stand, as does one of the houses in Gazeley Lane.
