Notes for: Martha Emerson

In her will (signed 1714) she left items to her niece Judith Pigott and her "kindred" Robert, John and William Barnes, also Sarah Barnes and George Barnes. Executor was John Pigott of St Andrew the Great. Judith Emerson married John Piggot at Girton in 1714; Sarah Emmersham married Robert Barnes at Trumpington in 1670, with sons Robert, John and William. In addition, when Robert Barnes, father of Robert, John and William, wrote his will in 1699, one of his executors was his brother in law George Parkins. So Martha Perkins was almost certainly Martha Emerson/Emmersham before marriage
