Advertisement in Cambridge Independent Press 6th October 1866:
James Sanders respectfully informs the members of the University, etc. etc. that he has purchased of Mr Brewer (who is retiring from the business through ill-health) the stock and trade of his old established nursery at Trumpington Road, and trusts by careful and prompt attention to all orders to merit a continuance of the patronage so long bestowed upon Mr Brewer.
J. S. has opened a Seed and Flower shop at 22 Trumpington Street, (near the hospital), which will be found replete with hyacinths and other bulbs, dried grasses, immortelles, hyacinth glasses etc.
His stock of large and choice evergreen shrubs, flowering plants, etc, at the nursery, is very fine.
