TRUMPINGTON.
Wesleyan Sunday School. - The annual tea and entertainment in connection with the above school took place on Friday evening last. The scholars were supplied with a good tea at five o'clock. At seven o'clock, a public meeting was held in the chapel, presided over by Mr. W. Allen. Interesting recitations were given by the scholars and teachers and short addresses by Messrs. G. Jacob, D. Gentle, W. Powell, Utteridge, and Marshall. During the evening, a handsome marble timepiece was presented to Mrs. Powell (late Miss S. Gentle) by the teachers and scholars, as a token of esteem and recognition of her services as teacher and harmoniumist for many years. Mr. Allen, in a very touching speech, made the presentation, which was suitably acknowledged by Mr. Powell.
