Adjourned Quarter Sessions. - The following prisoners are for trial on Friday next: - Thomas Chapman, Trumpington, and William Pegg, Cambridge, labourers, for stealing a gun, the property of John Chivers, of Cottenham.

Cambridge General Advertiser 3 Nov 1849:
Thomas Chapman, of Trumpington, charged with being on the premises of Mr. Pinch, surgeon, Cottenham, for an unlawful purpose, on Wednesday, the 17th of October, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment with hard labour.
