Notes for: Edward Benjamin Osborne

Colin Osborne wrote: Fredericks brother Ted or E Osborne also lived on Alpha Terrace. He had been married and I knew his second wife called Reen short for Irene I believe. Teds son Tony Osborne became a famous 60s composer, pianist and big band conductor. He learnt his trade like a lot of entertainers of the time entertaining the troops in Egypt during WW2. For a while Tony was musical advisor to the BBC and wrote the theme music for Juke Box Jury, a tune called Juke Box Fury. Tony died a few years ago in Australia, his last project was conductor for the final tour of the remnants of the Glen Millar band. A lot of his work can be found on youtube but confusingly there is another Tony Osborne who produces similar music also on youtube.
Tony had a son and daughter. His son is Gary Osborne who has written songs for Elton John and many others including Lily Alan
