From the Cambridge Chronicle and Journal, 19 Mar 1824: Nisi Prius Court.
The Lord Chief Justice arrived at Trinity Lodge, early on Thursday morning, and at 10 o'clock proceeded to the Shire Hall, to hear the trials at Nisi Prius.
Pemberton v. Headdy:-- This was an undefended action, brought against the defendant, Ann Headdy, to recover the sum of £179. 19s. the balance of rent due for a farm at Trumpington, let to her by the plaintiff at £400 per annum. The defendant had made payments on account, and this balance was for half a year's rent, after several deductions on account of the decrease of value in agricultural produce. -- Verdict for the plaintiff, £179. 19s.
