MOTORISTS IN COLLISION.
Undergraduate Severely Injured.
A collision between a motor cycle and a cycle and sidecar occurred about 9:30 on Monday evening in from of The Beeches, Trumpington-road, and resulted in a King’s College undergraduate, Mr. Larkin, receiving a fracture of the left lower leg and an injury to his left knee, while the passenger in the sidecar, William Beeton, of 49, Newmarket-road, was thrown out and received an injury to his ear.
P.C. Waylett, of the Borough Police Force was informed by Mr. Arthur King of 1, North Cottages, Trumpington, that a collision had taken place on the Trumpington-road about 100 yards in the County police district, and that one of the motorists was seriously injured. He set off for the scene of the accident at once, and upon arrival there found Dr. Guillemard and Dr. Haynes, of Trumpington, also P.C. Howe, of the County Police Force, attending to Larkin, who stated that he was driving his motor cycle at a good pace in the direction of the town when he collided with another motorist going in the opposite direction, and was thrown from his machine. He did not see the other motorist before the collision. . . .

Not Under Control.
Henry White, labourer, of Trumpington, was summoned for allowing a dog to stray at Trumpington on December 13th. - Defendant pleaded not guilty.
P.C. Howe said he saw defendant on the night in question on the Grantchester-road, and shortly afterwards saw a whippet, which belonged to defendant. Witness overtook him, and he then picked up the dog and put it on a lead.
Defendant said that he had the dog on a lead almost all the way from Granchester.
Witness said he followed defendant, and the dog was off the lead the greater part of the way.
A fine of 2s 6d and costs was imposed.
