Cambridge Chronicle 17 Jun 1836:
James Raines (34), of Trumpington, was charged by Thos. Pryme, of Trumpington-street, with stealing a basket of linen, &c., from his house. Committed for further examination.
Cambridge Chronicle 12 May 1838:
James Ranes, 35, a known character from Trumpington, was charged on suspicion of stealing a bundle of green cut willows, which he had in his possession. The theft having been committed at Cherryhinton, the case was referred to the county magistrates.
