Cambridge Chronicle 8 Nov 1851:
TRUMPINGTON. - Thomas Lee, of New Town, Cambridge, was charged by John Maris, of Trumpington, with trespassing in search of game, on land of Frances Maria Sophia Campbell, at Trumpington, on the 22nd ult. - Fined £2, and £1. 1s. expenses, or 3 months imprisonment.

Cambridge Chronicle 1 May 1852:
On Friday night week, the hind quarters and one shoulder of a shearling ram were stolen from the sheepfold of Mr. John Maris, of Trumpington. Fifteen pounds reward offered.

On Friday, the 8th of September, 1868 at Trumpington, Cambs. All the highly valuable live & dead farming stock. The noted flock of long-woolled sheep, a herd of remarkably fine shorthorn cows and heifers, and other effects, by the direction of the executors of the late Mr John Maris.
