INDECENT ASSAULT.
James Neaves (74), labourer, of Trumpington, was charged with indecently assaulting Elizabeth Bash, a child of the age of ten at Trumpington, on the 8th of March.
Mr. ELLISON defended.
The Magistrates, having heard the evidence, which was unfit for publication, committed the defendant for trial at the Quarter Sessions, agreeing to accept bail - two sureties in £10.
Possibly the Elizabeth Wheeler who appears in Cambridge in the 1891 census: age 22, widow, born West Lavington. But the only possible marriage for Elizabeth would be in 1886 reg Devizes, and her husband appears to be Charles George Phillips
