Celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee, 2012
A number of local events were held over the long weekend of 2-5 June 2012, to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

Diamond Jubilee Big Lunch, Trumpington Pavilion, 3 June 2012
The Big Lunch was part of a network of similar events across the country, organised at Trumpington Pavilion by Vicky Hathrell, with a display of royal memorabilia put together by Philippa Slatter. Councillor Saunders, Deputy Mayor, also took part in this event.

Diamond Jubilee Street Party, Wingate Way and Wingate Close, 5 June 2012
Residents of Wingate Way and Wingate Close enjoyed a Diamond Jubilee street party, organised by Julia Smith. Activities featured egg and spoon races, 3-legged races, cricket, etc.
