Caius, Jan. 8, 1893; Assistant Lecturer in History, 1893. A private ‘coach.’
Sometime Assistant Master at Leys School, Cambridge; at Charterhouse, 1916-29. A
Wesleyan himself, he represented John Wesley in the Charterhouse Masque. ‘Well
informed and cultured, Green's influences lay deeply in his personal religion.’
The Carthusian recalls an admirable address he gave on St Francis. Died Apr. 16,
1931, at Bournemouth. Buried at Puttenham, Surrey. (Schoolmasters' Directories;
Venn, II. 529 and Addenda; Scott, MSS.; Carthusian Worthies; The Times, Apr. 17,
1931.)
