Welcome to the Trumpington History Trails, a
set of 10 trails about Trumpington and its links
to surrounding villages and Cambridge. We
hope that long-established and new residents
will find the trails to be a fascinating way to
discover more about the history of the area.

The concept of the Trumpington History Trails was conceived by Andrew Roberts,
Trumpington Residents' Association, and Ken Hay, Cambridge City Council, in November 2010,
as a way of supporting the development of an integrated community in Trumpington. The Trails
were developed by the Trumpington Residents’ Association and the Trumpington Local History
Group, with support from Cambridge City Council. See below for links to the online versions:

Trail 3: South of the Village Centre.
Trail 4: East of the Village Centre.
Trail 5: Clay Farm, Hobson's Park, Nine Wells.
Trail 6: Trumpington Meadows Country Park and Nature Reserve and Byron’s Pool.
Trail 7: Trumpington to Hauxton and Shelfords.
Trail 8: Trumpington to Great Shelford.
Trail 9: Trumpington to Grantchester.
Trail 10: Addenbrooke’s and Queen Edith's.
Printed copies of the Trails were first published in September 2016. They are available free of
charge from The Clay Farm Centre, Trumpington Pavilion and Trumpington Parish Church.
The Trails were launched at a meeting on 24 November 2016.
