Howard Slatter was the speaker at the Local History Group meeting at the Clay Farm Centre on 13 October 2022. Howard gave an overview of Trumpington’s history from 1801 to 2001. In 1801, the village included 60 houses with 494 inhabitants, surrounded by medieval open fields, meadows and common land. By 2001, the Cambridge ward of Trumpington had over 6500 people. Howard talked about some of the huge changes that have taken place over that time.
