The visit was to the area being excavated to the west of the John Lewis building and the Park & Ride site, in advance of the development of the Trumpington Meadows homes and school. One of three Neolithic burial monuments being excavated on the Trumpington Meadows site (in the area of the future school playing field), with burials marked by white posts, burials in rectangular area, blue pegs marking earlier inner ring, red pegs outer ring with pottery dating from c. 3500BC, with Trumpington Church and Anstey hall in the distance.
