Launch of Trumpington History Trails

The Trumpington History Trails were launched at this meeting. The trails have been developed by the Trumpington Residents’ Association and the Trumpington Local History Group, with support from Cambridge City Council. Printed copies are available free of charge from Trumpington Pavilion.
Howard Slatter opened the evening by welcoming participants and Andrew Roberts gave a brief summary of the development of the trails, from the first proposal in November 2010. Rebecca Green and Fiona Gilsenan from the Wildlife Trust introduced the app which has been launched for Trumpington Meadows County Park and Nature Reserve. Vicky Haywood, Cambridge City Council, congratulated the TRA and TLHG for the Trails and looked forward to their use.

Trail 3: South of the Village Centre
Trail 4: East of the Village Centre
Trail 5: Clay Farm, Hobson’s Park, Nine Wells
Trail 6: Trumpington Meadows Country Park and Nature Reserve and Byron’s Pool
Trail 7: Trumpington to Hauxton and Shelfords
Trail 8: Trumpington to Great Shelford
Trail 9: Trumpington to Grantchester
Trail 10: Addenbrooke’s and Queen Edith’s
