The Trumpington Medieval Weekend was held on 16-18 June 1989, in celebration of Sir Roger de Trumpington, who died in 1289. On Friday 16 June, there were organ recitals and a flower festival in the Parish Church and a jazz band toured the village. On Saturday 17 June, there was a fair at Trumpington Hall, opened by Baroness Trumpington. On Sunday 18 June, there were services in the church and a Medieval feast. The events were arranged by the Parochial Church Council.
